It started as bare ground. Clearance, excavation and earth moving, a reinforced concrete retaining wall, and only then the house and the pool set out.
The pool was built in blockwork, with the plant room and all the hydraulics. Around it went the timber deck, the walls clad in stone, and the grazing light that reads the wall at night.
